MediStreams produces and distributes Nitrous Oxide Copper Pipes and Tubes to be used in Medical Gas Pipeline Systems (MGPS). These copper pipes are composed of deoxidized phosphorus copper (Cu-DHP / CW024A) which is of high purity and non-arsenical and is in line with EN 13348 / ASTM B819 standards. Every Copper pipe and Copper Tube is de-greased, internally de-grossed and sealed so that the internal surfaces stay oil free and sterile to guarantee safe and reliable transportation of medical nitrous oxide gas in hospitals and other medical institutions.

MediStreams Medical Copper Pipelines nitrus oxide copper tubes and Copper Pipes have good corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and dimensional accuracy; which makes them suitable in oxygen-compatible and clean medical gas in the environment.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Which two types of copper tube can be used for medical gas piping ?
The two types of copper tube commonly used for medical gas piping are hard-drawn (rigid) copper tube and annealed (soft) copper tube. Hard-drawn copper is typically used for straight pipe runs due to its strength, while annealed copper is preferred where flexibility is needed. Both must be medical-grade, cleaned, degreased, and manufactured to standards such as ASTM B819 or EN 13348 for safe medical gas distribution.
Why did plumbers stop using copper tubing ?
Plumbers have not completely stopped using copper tubing, but many now choose materials like PEX or CPVC because they are generally more affordable, easier to install, and require less labor. However, copper tubing remains a preferred choice for applications that require exceptional durability, heat resistance, and long-term reliability, such as commercial plumbing and medical gas pipeline systems.
